Sir Henry Floyd Grammar School

The new WiFi solution has delivered:

  • The fastest, most reliable wireless capable of managing more than the school’s 3,000 daily devices
  • A high-performance network that will support the school’s needs for 10 years thanks to being WiFi6 ready
  • The network will support streaming videos in HD to 1,300 students, as well as enabling the latest EdTech such as AI for teaching

I was very impressed with the amount of time Redway spent with us going through the details over and over again, answering our questions and making sure all of our network requirements were met. They enabled us to get the solution right first time.

John Huskinson, Chief Operations Officer at Insignis Academy Trust

The Challenge

The Insignis Academy Trust is committed to using the latest technology to enhance learning and teaching, and being a Google school, all students have their own Chromebooks for learning. With teachers’ laptops, school-wide smartphones and other devices, a typical day sees over 3,000 devices connecting to the network.

The school’s legacy Ruckus WiFi solution couldn’t cope with the school’s increasing number of devices, which began to limit digital learning – one of the academy’s chief commitments. The school realised they needed a new high-performance WiFi solution that would support the school’s IT experience now and into the years ahead. Read how Redway Networks helped the school future-proof their network for the next ten years in our case study.
