We’re thrilled to share that our wireless network engineer Momchil Kozhuharov has achieved his Fortinet Certified Professional in Network Security qualification. Fortinet has long been recognised as a leader in security solutions and the brand is known for its high-performance firewalls and cyber security solutions. Fortinet stands out as a trusted brand used by Redway Networks to ensure network security.
Momchil wanted to deepen his expertise specifically in network security and chose the Fortinet certification to add to his portfolio of accreditations that also span wireless and wired networking.
With over 10 years working in the wireless industry, Momchil has worked on many of our client projects across a range of sectors from education to commercial. He is experienced in designing, installing and configuring wired and wireless networks that are underpinning our customers' IT solutions.
Momchil's new certification falls under the Fortinet Network Security Expert (NSE) programme, a multi-level certification system designed for everyone from beginners to seasoned professionals. The Fortinet Certified Professional (FCP) credential required Mo to complete courses and pass exams in key areas like:
- FortiGate Firewall administration
- Secure network design
- Threat protection and mitigation strategies
- Real-world scenarios using Fortinet's tools
Since becoming certified, Mo has already begun applying his knowledge to improve security and performance across customers' network infrastructures. From redesigning firewall policies to enhancing VPN configurations and access controls, Mo's certification has equipped him with superior competence.
And it’s not ‘just’ Fortinet, Momchil holds many other certifications from Wireless Network Professional to accreditations with other vendors.
We asked Momchil for a few words on the news, he said: "In today's rapidly evolving digital world, network security is no longer optional - it's essential. As a network professional with a deep interest in protecting infrastructures I gained not just technical skills but also a more strategic view of network defence. With security an ever changing field, I plan to continue learning to remain skilled and prepared."
